1. Go to your profile and shut down any information that you don't want in the wild.
Birthday for example.
2. I'm trying to make Jeff a moderator but I don't see where at the moment. (We need this week of mess. I also have finger problems still.)
3. I have two personalities or user profiles on here. The one is Admin which I need of course, and the other is just me, amarynth. So, if you see stuff from Admin, there is not a overarching function here, it is just me for technical stuff.
Question: With these two personalities, I sometimes see things differently and I still don't know how these two interact.
At the moment, I can see Jeff's board for his notifications. Kindly let me know if you can see it without my problem of two user profiles interacting.

This is now a sticky and will stay on top and hopefully, we can sort all problems here.
I managed to make Jeff a moderator and his board is ready to use if he wants to use it. This is what a personal board would look like should anyone else want one.
There is an understanding now to handle the two profiles that I need so that is a relief.
AGAIN IT IS GOOD PRACTICE TO GO TO YOUR ṔROFILE AND SHUT DOWN ANY INFORMATION THAT YOU DO NOT NECESSARILY WANT EVERYONE TO SEE. I'VE SHUT DOWN MY EMAIL ADDRESS, MY BIRTHDAY, MY GENDER AND BASICALLY ALL I HAVE OPEN IS MY NAME.
Any problems or questions as to how to do things ... please report them here and I or anyone else can assist.

Hello Amarynth: I had seen your post on adding a picture, but I can't locate it just now. I tried to add a picture on my last post, but it did not upload? If your image is hosted, i.e., not on your computer but from somewhere else, click on the insert image icon (list of icons just underneath the subject and heading the writing window) and put in the URL.
If your image exists on your computer, click Add Attachment right hand side above the writing window and it will lead you through.
Uncomplicated help can always be found on the help file .. just next to Home on top .. user guide.
Not to worry about Alt Txt - it is just a description of the image usually not even visible and sometimes visible.

Thanks for the hints on adding a picture. My link above does take you directly to an uploaded photo. And I was thinking "attachment" would not be in-line. I will try it again on my next post.
I mentioned that ProtonVPN blocks me from this site. My trick with Psiphon no longer works either. That could create the issue. Now I am on another computer with RiseUpVPN. That one lets me connect. It is a bit of a hassle to jump back and forth between computers, but I tend to be a master at work-arounds.
I thank both you and Jeff for constantly showing up, and trying to get this forum off of the ground. For me it is a much better option than seeking out email groups. I use email less and less. Only for a few "ancient friends". If there are a couple dozen users, not too many are showing up here. I do work on other open platforms, and while people do subscribe, most have nothing to say. A couple of "likes" out of 400-500 supposed users.
I lost faith in "the numbers" and found it is only the committed that add anything. I don't have to sell anyone on that commitment, it must be self generated. (The philosophy of groups; collective action doesn't exist anymore.)
You have offered me a huge number of names on these two posts. I will follow-up on what their activities are.

On ProtonVPN, use another server. I just connected fine through the Japanese free connection.
