It is just another swamp. It is the same continuity of agenda only from another pool in the very same swamp.
There is no sign whatsoever that this falling and flailing empire understand their own condition. Everything that I look at, confirms that they want to gain their throne again, and be the Big Old King of Exceptionalism.
We've written a bunch on our site, but this is one that I wrote two days ago. It is worse today with Trump's different swamp appointments.

Most pundits that were anti-Trump (nothing to do with Republican or Democrat election sloganeering), have flipped. They are seriously discussing the forming Trump administration and in most cases believing that this will be a game changer for them. The most used reason for this flip-a-doodle is Trump’s mandate.
It is quite spectacular to see some talking head that only two weeks ago railed against Trump, now bringing him the mouse. (You know the story about the house cat that catches a mouse and takes it home to lay at the feet of its caregivers as a gift). We see a bunch of cats with dead mice in their mouths sneaking around).
European leaders are for or against, and the rhetoric is bitter, generally from the EU, and at the same time there are positive notes (cats carrying mice). Britain and France want to derail any peace initiative. Rutte, the new NATO leader says straight out that he will throw the US out of NATO, if they do not play the role that he believes they have to play. (We do have idiots). It is besides the fact that the US pays the bulk of the cost for NATO. Europe generally is keen to accept the gift that they can take over the Ukraine issue and inherit NATO, while imploding as well. Chaos is the word.
In the US, the appointment of Trump’s cabinet is feverishly discussed, with very few seeing that most discussions and most proffered appointments are a change from one pool in the swamp, to another pool in the swamp.
From Trump’s Truth Social Account: “The Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security. I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”
Border control is the only appointment made to my knowledge at the time of writing, besides his chief of staff, Susie Wiles.
The US-based pundits already have their administration lined up, and this one consists of talking heads that they are familiar with. It is a new Hollywood blockbuster. MAGA is now a ‘policy’ instead of a slogan. The future is clear to these. 4 Years of Trump, 8 years of Vance. After that, another 8 years of another Trumper. Gabbard is mostly selected here. They are building a reality that takes no account of a declining and imploding western (Germany) reality.
The excitement is still running high, and with such a flip in opinions from people who were stalwart anti-Trump initially, Trump is now considered the Great Rescuer, the new Atlas. Take note, there is a lot of talk about what Trump will do to get President Putin and Zelensky around a negotiation table, but hardly a word about genocide or the war in the Middle East/West Asia. Seemingly, among the pundits, that one has been forgotten.
There is no doubt that empire is still declining and global alliances excluding the US and the West, is rising. FM Lavrov frequently states that this is a historical reality.
Trump is entering a different world.What will be the US new administration’s reaction when Trump and his new administration find out that President Putin, President Xi, and a huge part of the multipolar/nodal world will be friendly, but nobody is going to bend over backward because Trump demands something, or he wants to make a quicky deal (Ukraine). The new people surrounding him at this time, are hard-core US Exceptionalists with limited knowledge about the world. (Elon Musk starting a legal fight with Brazil, with no clue that Brazil has different laws than the US. He had to shamefacedly walk back and pay the fines).
Who is going to advise Trump, this man who has no sense of historical realities or context? If they walk up against a world BRICS wall, how will they react? See how absurd it is becoming. Trump will not do business with any country that is de-dollarizing, but he will also slam tariffs on everyone who does business with the US. There are not enough countries in the world to manage this feat, so, we can only think that Mexico will pay a steep price.
Trump won a major landslide election. He may confuse his internal popularity in the US, as equal to his external popularity in the wider world. He would be spectacularly wrong.
What will we see on the various color revolution fronts where the US is deeply involved? Will the alphabet agencies have free reign? If Trump fires all as he threatens to do, what will the US people keep themselves productively busy with? The main US industry is war and color revolutions, creating chaos and stealing what belongs to others. What will we see on the front of preparing a war, specifically against China?
After all the detailed weekend work, three US pundits understand the issues or at least have a deeper understanding than those surrounding Trump currently. Of course, we can criticize, but let’s take this on the face of it now. Here I will name names. Col Douglas Macgregor, Ben Norton more on an economic basis, and Brian Berletic on the looming and expected further China war. We already have a China trade war, and this will continue to the best of my analysis.
Everyone surrounding Trump currently is hot to trot on destroying Iran and fighting China. Ben Norton introduced a line of thinking that is a long shot but is nevertheless a watchlist item. He mentioned that the Ukraine war/SMO may fizzle out. The forming Trump administration is keen to make their bones on solving that war, or abandon it to the Europeans and call victory. It may just disappear as a US policy objective as the US plan (the only one that we have that I call a trial balloon) may be handed to Europe. The US may cut and run. This would be par for the course of US administrations as they invariably hand off their wars to others to deal with the aftermath. It is a common strategy and US policy is not going to change overnight. It is deeply inculcated and systemic. This war is in Russia’s hands, and will remain there, and will be dictated by Russia. China is ready for a further trade war as well as a heightened kinetic effort with Taiwan, the Philippines, South Korea, and groupings such as the Quad (India, Australia, Japan, the US).
We will see who Trump appoints for his State Department and his ambassador to the UN.
My prognosis:-We will see a long list of international organizations abandoned by the Trump administration, in many instances not because it is policy, but because they will find themselves unable to deal with or even understand the complexity of today’s world. And then, when nobody but Canada talks to them, they will cry ‘unfair!’. Trump has already said he will abandon the WHO and set together a coalition of health-conscious countries. I have news for him. Those are the ones that are reforming the WHO.
-Trump and the new US administration will want to continue to shout the odds and make, break, and dictate to whoever they decide to dictate to. (We will coup who we want to coup!). Organizations such as USAid and NED will continue being very active, and criminals such as Blackwater (they have many new names) will seize on and sneak through the holes in the new administration to war and break down as they like.
-Countries such as Venezuela will have to have an inner strength as their resources will be under fire and will be stolen. The complete Latin America will have to stand strong to remove the Monroe Doctrine in reality, lest they become the US back-yard again. The new forming administration will lash out at whoever is geographically close to them as they will not be able to lash out at other parts of the world. Nobody is going to take their money and nobody is going to sign agreements with them. The term non-agreement capable will be the de jure order of the day.
Africa is not impressed mainly and will move closer to China and Russia. We will see more destabilization utilizing the African bugbears. (Terrorist activity in the main).
Russia, China, Iran and the DPRK will remain the most favorite adversaries and enemies.
Trump, despite popular opinion, is decidedly not Atlas.
Atlas is a myth.
It may get worse. (If I was building a project plan, I would say: something’s gotto give!)
